Welcome to peaceknives.ca! Based out of North Eastern British Columbia, John Miller has been handcrafting custom knives for over 10 years. Miller stared out as a welder fabricator, and started working with other knife makers, building custom tools like grinders, and jigs. From that experience, he started to create his own knives. Through his many fabrication ventures, Miller has gained an exceptional experience working with a wide range of materials.
Materials
Knives can be made from a wide variety of different materials depending on the specific application of the knife. The handles can be crafted from exotic woods, bone, antler, oosic, narwhal whale ivory, silk micarta or g10 composite. The knife blades can be made from D2, 1095, 5160 or even recycled steel.
Design
Peace Knives are designed and tested by clients for their specific needs. These includes hunters, fishermen, trappers, working cowboys, saddle makers, and leather trade.
Each knife can be customized depending on what is required. Everything from the materials, the knife shape, the knifes edge (Hollow Grind, Flat Grind, Scandi Grind) the sheath can be completely customized to match the specific needs of the client.
Peace Knives is not limited to designing just knives either. Peace Knives has experience making tools for bushmen, saddle makers and leather trade.
